1.2.2 Identify all utility lines as to which ones may be in conflict with the proposed
roadway.

1.2.3 Prepare preliminary plans showing utility conflicts and proposed road design.

1.2.4 Prepare a preliminary drainage report including a drainage area map, calculation
of the existing 25-year and 1 OO-year flows. Engineer will use the Rational method and/or
HEC-1 hydrologic modeling software to determine flow rates. Engineer will determine
interior (roadway) drainage flow calculations using the WinStorm hydraulic modeling
software. Engineerwill use TxDOT Culvert software to evaluate cross drainage structures.

1.2.5 Prepare a preliminary cost estimate.

1.2.6 Conduct a cultural/archeological survey for Aquarena Springs Drive and River Road
(at the drainage outfall) including:

(a) A 100% pedestrian survey with backhoe probing that conforms to the
"Archeological Survey Standards for Texas."
(b) Coordinate with the Texas Historical Commission to obtain an Antiquities
Permit prior to the investigation.
(c) Prepare an investigations report produced in conformance with the report
standards under the Chapter 26 Rules of the Antiquities Code of Texas.

1.2.7 Provide a technical memorandum summarizing a background research and field
investigation where the drainage outfall enters the Blanco River including:

(a) Background and field assessment of wetlands and other jurisdictional waters.
(b) Endangered/threatened species record information reconnaissance and
written coordination with the US Fish and Wildlife Services and Texas Parks
and Wildlife Department regarding compliance with the federal Endangered
Species Act.
(c) Cultural/archeological resources background reconnaissance and initial
Texas Historical Commission coordination services to obtain their
recommendations regarding project clearance.

1.2.8 Advise the City as to the necessity and capacity of a duplex lift station to convey
future flows from the low point at the intersection of River Road and Davis Lane to an
existing manhole along the existing 18" wastewater line approximately 700 feet southeast
of I H-35 frontage road.

1.3 PHASE 3 - FINAL DESIGN AND BIDDING

The Engineer will:

1.3.1 Prepare final plans for both Davis Lane and the extension of Aquarena Springs

Dannenbaum2.wpd

3
