<br />[one meeting] <br /> <br />Task 1.5 Define the public involvement program that will be used In <br />formulating the new Land Development Code. <br /> <br />A. Prepare a proposed program for incorporating public input into the Code drafting <br />process. (It is anticipated that initial input will be achieved through a Steering <br />Committee, and that subsequent input will be reviewed through community <br />workshops or Town Hall meetings.) <br /> <br />B. Review proposed program with City staff and the Technical Advisory <br />Committee, and revise accordingly. <br /> <br />[one meeting] <br /> <br />Task 1.6 Prepare and present the finalized Regulatory Action Plan to the City Planning <br />and Zoning Commission and to City Council. <br /> <br />A. Prepare final Regulatory Action Plan contammg a summary of the proposed <br />resolution (i.e., recommendations) for each issue addressed in Tasks 1.2 through <br />1.5, including the following: <br /> <br />1) revisions to substantive development standards by major <br />category and by subject matter; <br /> <br />2) revisions and enhancements to development procedures; <br /> <br />3) overall coordination of regulatory programs; <br /> <br />4) organizational measures designed to simplify and streamline <br />administrative procedures; <br /> <br />5) generalized outline of the proposed regulations in accordance <br />with the recommended format; <br /> <br />6) strategy for transition between existing development <br />regulations and proposed regulations, including discussion of <br />approaches to vested rights and non-conformities; <br /> <br />7) generalized outline of engineering-related issues that need to <br />be addressed and/or revised in the new Code; and <br /> <br />8) communications strategies aimed at keeping local citizens and <br />interested groups updated about the Code revision process. <br />B. Prepare (Legal Consultant) memorandum to City Attorney regarding any legal <br />issues arising from proposed Regulatory Action Plan, as needed. <br />
