The Council did not wish to reconsider this Ordinance. The <br />caption reads as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ASSIGNING INITIAL <br />ZONING OF "RR" RURAL RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO ALL LOTS IN BLOCK A <br />THROUGH F OF SECTION 11, AND BLOCKS A THROUGH D OF SECTION 12, WILLOW <br />CREEK ESTATES SUBDIVISION; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING THE 2004 PURGATORY CREEK PARK DESIGN GUIDELINES; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved for adoption of the Resolution, and Mr. Thomaides <br />seconded the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated Carter-Burgess has developed <br />design guidelines and a master plan for Purgatory Creek Park. Kevin <br />Conner, of Carter-Burgess, provided an overview of the design guidelines <br />and a master plan for the 500 acre park. He stated the master plan <br />includes trails, a center for environmental education and office for Park <br />Rangers. He stated there are two types of trails: a hard surface trail, <br />which meets ADA compliance, and a trail along the creek, which would begin <br />on Craddock Street. Mr. Thomaides inquired as to the $4,000,000.00 grant <br />the City received. Rodney Cobb, Director of Parks and Recreation, stated <br />the City has received a grant from Texas Parks and wildlife for the trails <br />leading from Prospect into the lower option of the Terrand Tract. Mayor <br />Narvaiz stated a citizen has signed up to speak on this item. 1) Todd <br />Derkacz encouraged the Council to support this Resolution. He stated on <br />Saturday, January 10, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., there will be a two hour walk <br />on the upper portion of these trails. He also stated if anyone has <br /> <br />*"~<,",,," <br />
