ThIS manual WIll focus on the vanous pnmary modes of operatIon that may be used, mcludmg both normal operatIOn and mltIal emergency operatIOn procedures. The manual WIll explam the purpose and baSIC concept of the vanous processes that are mcorporated mto the overall plant. Where appropnate, reference WIll be made to the manufacturer's detailed O&M submIttals. The manual WIll mclude mstructIOns for process operatIOns and test or laboratory procedures that may be reqUIred to mom tor the performance of the faCIlItIes. The manual WIll be SUItable for use as an operatIOnal tool and to faCIlItate operator trammg. Three copIes of the O&M manual WIll be submItted to the City 1 15 37 PrOVIde warranty performance reVIew servIces dunng the one-year warranty penod to aSSIst the City m coordmatmg correctIOns of defiCIent eqUIpment or constructIOn. As part of these servIces, the Engmeer WIll make one SIte VISIt dUrIng the warranty perIod to mom tor contract defiCIenCIes m workmanshIp, matenals or eqUIpment and prepare correspondence mformmg the Contractor of such defiCIenCIes. 1 15.38 One month prIor to the end of the one year warranty penod, reVIew the completed Project WIth the City and the Contractor, prOVIde a letter IdentIfymg any defiCIenCIes found and recommended actIons, and have all defiCIent Items corrected. The extent of the dutIes, responsibIlItIes and lImItatIOns of authonty of the Engmeer as the CIty'S representatIve dUrIng constructIOn WIll not be modIfied or extended after the constructIOn contract documents have been authOrIzed by the CIty to be competItIvely bId WIthout WrItten consent of the CIty and the Engmeer and WIth notIce to the Contractor 1 1539 Coordmate WIth the Contractor the trammg servIces of qualIfied representatIves from eqUIpment manufacturers relatIve to operatIon, mamtenance and testmg of the eqUIpment proVIded for the ProJect. The Engmeer WIll prOVIde supplemental classroom mstructIOns to the CIty'S staff COverIng both the baSIC operatIOnal concept and actual operatIOn of the systems and components under both normal and abnormal operatIOns that are likely to occur, If requested.
