<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />B The Arts CommISSIOn will review each applIcation for placement of permanent art, <br />and will make a recommendation on the apphcatIOn to the City CouncIl. The CommISSIOn may <br />attach condItIOns to the proposed placement m ItS recommendation, mcluding a condItIon that the <br />approval of the permanent art IS mtegrally lmked to the proposed locatIOn for placement of the <br />art. <br /> <br />C The CIty Council will consIder the CommIssIOn recommendatIon on each applIcatIOn, <br />and the Council WIll decIde whether to gIve prelImmary approval to, or deny, the applIcation. If <br />the Council wIshes to consIder a dIfferent locatIOn for a proposed placement than that <br />recommended by the CommissIOn as a condItIon for the placement, the CouncIl WIll return the <br />applIcatIOn to the CommISSIOn one tIme for reconsIderatIOn of the modIfied locatIOn, and the <br />Council will consider the CommIssion recommendation m determmmg whether to approve the <br />modIfied locatIOn. If the CommISSIOn recommendatIOn is to deny an applIcatIOn, a two-thuds <br />(2/3) vote of the CIty Council will be reqUIred to approve the applIcatIOn. The Council may <br />attach condItIOns to the proposed placement m a prelImmary approval. If the CouncIl gIves <br />prelImmary approval to an applIcatIOn, the Council will forward the applIcation to the CIty <br />Manager WIth any attached condItIons. <br /> <br />D The CIty Manager will forward applIcatIOns that receIve prelImmary approval from <br />the Council to the appropnate CIty department or the CIty board or commissIOn havmg <br />JurIsdictIOn over the proposed locatIOn for the art. <br /> <br />E. After the final plans and details have been worked out to the satIsfactIOn of the City <br />department or the board or commISSIOn, the final plans will be submItted to the CIty Council for <br />approval. The CIty Council WIll have final authonty over whether to approve, approve WIth <br />modIficatIOns, or deny the final plans. <br /> <br />PART 5. Review of Applications for Placement of Temporary Art. A. The Arts <br />CommIssIOn will reVIew each applIcation for placement of temporary art, and will forward its <br />recommendatIOn to the CIty Manager The CommISSIOn may attach condItIons to the proposed <br />placement in ItS recommendatIOn. <br /> <br />B If the CommIssIOn gIves prelImmary approval to an applIcatIOn, the CIty Manager will <br />forward the recommendation to the appropriate City department or the City board or commissIOn <br />having JunsdIctIOn over the proposed locatIOn for the art. <br /> <br />C After the final plans and details have been worked out to the satIsfaction of the City <br />department or the board or commissIOn, the final plans will be submItted to the Arts CommISSIOn <br />for approval. The Arts CommIssIOn will have final authonty on declSlons pertammg to <br />temporary art. <br /> <br />PART 6. For the purpose of publIc dIsplay on CIty property, the followmg categories of <br />permanent art and temporary art, monuments and structures are consIdered mappropnate and <br />will not be approved. <br /> <br />A.
