*BLACK BOX" <br />City of San Marcos Project: Conversion to IP telephones and single CS1000E <br />Three Valcom VIP - 811/801 units will be installed to connect paging equipment at Parks and <br />Recreation, Main Fire Station and Electric Utility to analog trunk paging ports on the CS1000E. <br />One 19" x T two -post rack with vertical cable manager will be provided and installed for the <br />MG1010 chassis. <br />Add 200 CallPilot Desktop licenses. These will allow voice mail messages to appear in the users <br />email box also. Up to five of these will be programmed by BBNS, the remainder will be <br />programmed by the City as needed. <br />Customer responsibilities <br />Four -post rack space and power will be required for three 1 U servers. These include 2 — SMGR <br />and 1 — SM) <br />Police Dept <br />Convert to a Survivable Media Gateway (SMG1000E). This will be done with the addition of an <br />MG 1010 10 -slot chassis. This allows the conversion to a survivable remote operation with limited <br />disruption to Police Department communications. <br />The survivable processor will be commissioned as a Geographical Redundant Call Server for all <br />sites (Alt 1) <br />Two CPDC signaling servers will be added. This will establish a second telephony node for this <br />site as well as all other sites. <br />Convert 108 digital sets and 39 analog sets to IP sets (78 —1120E and 69 — 1140E) <br />Provide 147 local power supplies for IP sets.. It is the city's responsibility to provide extension <br />cords if there is not a 110v outlet close to the phone. <br />Remove the point -to -point PRI to Municipal <br />Retain 6 analog station ports that connect to an AT &T- provided BCM. These ports are used for <br />the 911 Dispatch Center Administration lines. <br />Convert two OPX stations to IP. These are included in the analog station count above <br />Add two PRI ports. One will be used to convert the existing analog DID trunks and number range <br />to PRI. The other will be used for other existing analog trunks at this site and possibly from others. <br />No analog trunks will be terminated in this media gateway. <br />Customer responsibilities <br />Four -post rack space and power will be required for one 1 U Session Manager server. <br />Two -post or four -post rack space will be required for the MG110 chassis. This requires 9 RU or <br />17.75 inches. <br />Determine what existing analog trunks and corresponding numbers need to be transferred to a <br />PRI / T1 at this site. <br />Electric Utility <br />This site will not be survivable and will not have a gateway to terminate analog stations or trunks. <br />Convert 30 digital sets and 23 analog sets to IP sets (30 — 1120E and 23 — 1140E) <br />Provide 53 local power supplies for IP sets.. It is the city's responsibility to provide extension <br />cords if there is not a 110v outlet close to the phone. <br />Remove the point to point PRI to Municipal <br />Page 3 of 18 <br />
