4. Consider adoption or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. The San Marcos City Council reconvened into regular session at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. The City Council provided direction to staff to place the setting of appointee salaries on the October 4, 2011, Agenda. 5.Receive presentation and hold discussion regarding National Leaeue of Cities Youth Education and Families Institute programs. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Prather and a second by Council Member Scott the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, to postpone the presentation until the regular meeting on October 4, 2011. The motion carried unanimously. 6.Receive Staff update and hold discussion regarding Capital Improvement Proiects, and provide direction to staff. Linda Huff, Capital Improvements Director, provided City Council with an update regarding 2011/2012 CIP projects. 7.Receive a Staff update and presentation on the current Customer Service Initiative. Ron Campos, Human Resources Director, provided City Council with a brief presentation on the current progress of the Customer Service Initiative and the current activities of the Customer Service Team. 8. Invocation. Minister Brian Ferguson of San Marcos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship provided the invocation. 9. Pledge of Allegiance. Keaton Hughes a 4►h grade gifted and talented student from Hernandez Elementary led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge. 10.30 Minute Citizen Comment Period. Ed Theriot, 401 Dryden Lane, Buda, TX, spoke on behalf of The Retreat project. He stated that they are aware of the problems with the dust and are working with City Staff to decrease the amount of dust. They have increased the amount of water trucks from 1 to 7 and hoping that the high winds will subside. They will continue to working closely with City Staff.
