ATTACHMENT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />FRANKLIN LIFT STATION FORCE MAIN EXTENSION <br />Chaparral will prepare CADD files with a digital terrain model processed <br />with 1 foot contours. <br />6. Geologic Assessment (Zara) <br />a. Zara Environmental previously (January 2011) prepared a Geologic <br />Assessment for Jacobs Engineering that encompassed the proposed <br />project area for the force main extension, and will be utilized in the <br />preparation of the OSCS for this project. A "place holder" budget for Zara <br />has been included in this proposal in the event that TCEQ has any <br />comments on the Geologic Assessment, but if no comments are received <br />this budget will not be utilized. <br />7. Route Analysis: The general route for the interceptor will be within the existing <br />right -of -way of Bishop Street from Franklin Drive to Hillyer Street. Determination <br />of the alignment will be evaluated and determined based on the location of <br />existing utilities, maintaining proper separation distances from water lines, and <br />based on other existing and planned infrastructure, trees, and improvements. <br />KFA will determine a preliminary route and meet with the City to go over the <br />proposed routing prior to beginning final plan /profile sheets. <br />8. Utility Research: KFA will coordinate with utility companies to identify the <br />location of existing utilities along the route. <br />PHASE la — Franklin Lift Station Evaluation <br />KFA will perform an evaluation of the existing Franklin Lift Station to determine if an <br />expansion in its capacity will be required to meet current and /or future flow <br />conditions. This evaluation does not include any design phase services, as those <br />services will be dependent on the outcome of the evaluation. <br />1. Review Current and Ultimate Flows to the Franklin Lift Station — KFA will review <br />SCADA data provided by the City to determine current average and peak flows, <br />and will review the service area and planned development to calculate an <br />estimated ultimate condition. <br />2. Review Capacity at the Franklin Lift Station — KFA will review the SCADA data, <br />pump curves, and other available data to determine the current capacity of the lift <br />station. <br />3. Evaluate Methods to Increase Capacity of the Franklin Lift Station — KFA will <br />evaluate methods to increase the Capacity of the Franklin Lift Station to meet the <br />ultimate flow conditions. These methods will include replacing /upgrading existing <br />pumps, adding a 0 pump, paralleling the existing portion of the force main, <br />replacing the existing portion of the force main. <br />4.
