We have <br />designated $2500 from our budget for exhibits in the Center, and have also <br />assisted with $1 000' in the Wetland Restorati9rl Project, 'som,e of which <br />has already been used for soil purchases ,for planting' trees along the "river. <br /> <br />We 'have found a used counter for the Center, a.nd want to help with <br />painting and preparing it for use. There are many volunteers who would . <br />'enjoy helping with the shoveling, planting, pruning, and maintenance <br />duties at the Greenhouse interpretive 'Center, so please call,on us when <br />you are ready to do this work. <br /> <br />We hope -robe involved in the volunteer docent program that you will <br />be needing to man the center or lead ,birding tours, when it is' in full <br />, , <br />operation. This is a very worthy project, and very suitable for River <br />j' . ".. <br />Foundation members' talents. Our goal of educating the pubJic about the <br />river e~osystem is c9mpatible, and since we wereinvol\(ed in finding the <br />historiC building for the City, we have an e.xtra special interest in its <br />success.
