<br />THIS AGREEMENT IS MADE BY and between the State of Texas, acting by and through the Texas Department
<br />of Transportation, hereinafter called the Department, and The City of San Marcos, hereinafter called the
<br />Subgrantee, and becomes effective when fully executed by both parties. For the purpose of this agreement, the
<br />Sub grantee is designated as a(n) LOCAL GOVERNMENT
<br />
<br />AUTHORITY: Texas Transportation Code, Chapter 723, the Traffic Safety Act of 1967, and the Highway Safety
<br />Plan for the following Fiscal Year(s) 2002
<br />
<br />WITNESSETH
<br />
<br />Project Title: COMPREHENSIVE SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM (CSTEP)
<br />
<br />Brief Project Description: To conduct a comprehensive overtime enforcement efforts targeting hazardous moving
<br />violations, DWI's, Occupant Protection, Speed/Unsafe Speed, Signals/ Sign Violations.
<br />
<br />AGREEMENT
<br />
<br />Grant Period: The Grant becomes effective on OCTOBER 1, 1999 , or on the date offmal signature,
<br />whichever is later, and ends on SEPTEMBER 30, 2002
<br />
<br />Maximum Amount Eligible for Reimbursement: $ 72,582 . Cost incurred after the end of a fiscal year cannot
<br />be reimbursed without prior written approval from the Department. (See also Article 3, Limitation of Liability, in
<br />the Standard Provisions.
