<br />36. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />November 15, 2005 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />prospect (IH35/McCarty Lane Area, Hunter Road area; and IH35/Technology Way <br />area) The Council adjourned into Executive Session at 6 02 P m I <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene at 6 55 P m (See Page <br />8 for continuation of Executive Session) <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff <br />on matters discussed in Executive Session Mr O'Leary stated the Council <br />will provide direction after the continuation of Executive Session <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz lead the Pledge of Allegiance <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the 30-Minute Citizen Comment 1) Rodney <br />Vanouderkerke stated he is the Chair of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission He thanked the Council for his reappointment to the Historic <br />Preservation Commission 2) Sharri Boyett stated she wished to speak <br />regarding Item #11, approval of an Ordinance on second reading She <br />encouraged the Council to support the proposed Ordinance to provide Animal <br />Control the support they need 3) Donna Bellion stated she wished to speak <br />regarding Item #11, approval of an Ordinance on second reading She <br />provided a letter to the Council and stated Texas is lagging behind in <br />animal safety in motor-vehicles She encouraged the Council to be <br />proactive 4) Jon Starnes, stated he wished to speak regarding Item #19, <br />adoption of a Resolution, regarding extension of City water/wastewater <br />services to a development on Centerpoint Road He encouraged the Council <br />to support the Resolution He also stated he is present to answer any <br />questions <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Staff Report Mr O'Leary stated he had no <br />report <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the City Council Reports 1) John Thomaides <br />stated he attended the Texas Trails Network Conference on Saturday, <br />November 5, 2005 2) Kyle Morris stated a preliminary meeting for Bobcat <br />Build was held today He stated grant availability to assist with Bobcat <br />Build was discussed 3) Kyle Morris stated Texas State Student Government <br />will speak to the Seniors from San Marcos High School on Wednesday, <br />November 16, 2005 He stated they will encourage the High School Seniors <br />to attend Texas State University 4) Kyle Morris encouraged everyone to <br />attend the Commuter Rail meeting 5) Mayor Narvaiz stated the Economic <br />Development Board held their first meeting She stated Bruce Tiftt from <br />Goodrich was elected Chair She also stated the Board chose to use <br />Economic Development San Marcos as their marketing name and to include <br />Stimulating Growth in the logo 6) Mayor Narvaiz stated she attended the <br />Veteran's Day activities She thanked everyone who took the time to honor I <br />our vets <br />
