Easy Dnve Stake, Inc ("Easy Dnve") has assembled a cooperatIve network of busmesses that have purchased reference statIOns m order to make them aVailable to other users m exchange for access to other reference statIOns m the network. ThIS has the effect of bUIldmg a "cell phone- style" network that prOVIdes hIgh accuracy, hIgh precIsIOn GPS coverage for an area of approxImately 25 mIles m radms around each of the GPS reference statIons. Easy Dnve does not charge reference statIOn owners for access, but does charge non owners a subscnptIon fee Responsibilities Easy Dnve wIll 1 PrOVIde the CIty of San Marcos (the "CIty") WIth access to the Easy Dnve cooperatIve network at no cost to the City Easy Dnve wIll mclude the CIty'S GPS system m the network by connectmg eXIstmg CIty eqUIpment to the mternet m accordance WIth the CIty'S mternet secunty requIrements through eXIstmg mfrastructure ThIS arrangement WIll allow the CIty access to other reference statIons m the area (currently New Braunfels and Austm) whIch WIll allow for greater redundancy dunng survey operatIons by provIdmg for multIple measurements from dIfferent locatIOns. In addItIon, thIS SItuatIOn benefits the CIty because It allows the City's Real TIme KmematIc ("RTK") data, whIch allows development m and around the CIty, to be on a common "datum" or control network. ThIS WIll Improve mteroperabIhty and connectIvIty between the CIty'S vanous rapIdly growmg mfrastructure systems Easy Dnve agrees not to charge users for access to the CIty'S reference statIOn. 2 ProVIde mamtenance and techmcal support for the eXIstmg reference statIOn at no charge to the CIty Easy Dnve further agrees to prOVIde 2 seats m Easy Dnve hosted GPS or other surveYIng related classes of the CIty'S chOice as well as 8 hours of GPS trammg for CIty employees as needed each quarter dunng normal busmess hours at mutually agreed upon tImes and dates. 1
