<br />SCOPE OF HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM <br /> <br />General Criteria for HRP <br /> <br />In order to be eligible to apply for a loan, applicants must meet the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. Preference will be given to residents who reside in the low and moderate-income areas of <br />the city. <br /> <br />2. Applicants must qualify under low and moderate income or very low-income guidelines <br />as provided in the Section 8 Income Limits established and amended annually by HUD. <br /> <br />3. The dwelling to be rehabilitated must be a permanent, non-mobile housing unit. <br /> <br />4. The dwelling must not be in a flood zone area as defmed in the City of San Marcos' <br />Flood Insurance Map, produced by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or if it is <br />located in a flood zone, it must have sufficient flood insurance. <br />
