<br />156. <br /> <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />POLICY ON CREDITS TO DRAINAGE UTILITY CHARGES <br /> <br />Effective Aprill 0, 2000 <br /> <br />I. Application. A drainage utility system user may apply for a credit towards the <br />drainage charge for property upon which, or in connection with which, drainage <br />improvements have been constructed. Applications must be submitted to the Director of <br />Public Works on forms approved by the City, and must be accompanied by all <br />information called for on the forms. <br /> <br />2. Credit Amount. The credit will be 50% of the user's monthly drainage charge. <br /> <br />3. Duration ,7}f Credit. The credit will be in effect for a period of ten years, or until the <br />total amount credited equals 150 percent of the Allowable Improvements Cost, whichever <br />occurs first. <br /> <br />4. Allowable Improvements Cost. The Allowable Improvements Cost will be the <br />following: <br /> <br />A. The cost of upgrading drainage improvements to meet detention standards for <br />a 10-year storm event, for properties served by existing drainage improvements <br />that meet detention standards for a 25-year storm event as of the effective date of <br />this policy. <br /> <br />B. The difference between the cost of constructing drainage improvements <br />meeting detention standards for a 25-year storm event, and the cost of <br />constructing drainage improvements meeting detention standards for both a 10- <br />year storm event and a 25-year storm event, for properties that are not served by <br />existing drainage improvements that meet detention standards for a 25-year storm <br />event as of the effective date of this policy, <br />
