That Chapter 38, Article 3, Section 38.053, ofthe San Marcos City <br />Code, is amended to read as follows (underlining indicates added language; an mierstrike <br />indicates deleted language): <br /> <br />Sec. 38.053. Amendments. <br /> <br />The fire prevention code adopted in section 38.052 is amended as follows: <br /> <br />Section 101.4 is deleted. <br /> <br />Section 102.2 is deleted. <br /> <br />Section 105. 1 is deleted. <br /> <br />Section 501.1 is amended by adding the following subsection: <br /> <br />501.1.5 No person shall burn refuse in the city limits. <br /> <br />Section 502.5 is amended by adding the following subsection: <br /> <br />502.5.3 It is unlawful to use an outdoor grill, barbecue or other outdoor cooking <br />appliance on the premises of a residential building with three or more dwelling units <br />or of a multifamily residential building with two or more stories. This provision does <br />not apply to the use of permanently mounted outdoor cooking devices located ten or <br />more feet from any structure. <br /> <br />Subsection 602.5.1 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />It is unlawful to place or keep any fence, growth, solid waste or other material within <br />five feet of any fire hydrant or in any other manner hinder the fire department from <br />having immediate access to a fire hydrant. <br /> <br />Subsection 602.6. 1 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Every building shall be accessible to fire department apparatus by way of access <br />roadways with all-weather driving surfaces of not less than 20 feet (6.1 m) of <br />unobstructed width, with adequate roadway turning radius capable of supporting the <br />imposed loads of fire apparatus and having a minimum vertical clearance of 13 feet <br />six inches (4.1 m). During construction, when combustibles are brought onto the site <br />in quantities deemed hazardous by the fire official, access roads and a suitable <br />temporary supply of water acceptable to the fire department shall be provided and <br />maintained. <br /> <br />Section 602.6 is amended by adding the following subsections: <br /> <br />602.6.7 The marking configuration and location of fire zones and fire lanes on <br />private property shall be as approved by the fire marshal under the following criteria: <br /> <br />(a) Curbs shall be marked in red traffic paint with at least an eight-inch stroke. <br />
