Huggins, Inc.
All data provided wjlJ be compatible with Rodriguez & Huggins, Inc. and Texas
Department of Transponation's computer hardware and software.

Digital orthophoto mapping will include the following aspects;

· Obtain new aerial photography for digital mapping at 3,600' AMT.
· Pertorm analytical aerotriangulation reqWrM fOf digital orthophotos.
· Perfocm digital terrain model (DTM) mapping of 1.5 mile wide alignment study
area that is approximately 4.0 miles in length and deliver in GeoPak format.
· Perfoml digital orthophoto rectification with 0.6' pi.xels for the 1.5 mile wide
alignment study area that js approximately 4.0 miles in length.

TECHNICAL PLA.~ OF OPERATION

.L!! Aerial Pbotot!f1Ipbl'.

New black-and-white aerial photography will be obtained with a Zeiss RMK TOP 15
calibrated precision aerial mapping camera. The camera is equipped with torward motion
compensation (FMC) and interfaces with a Trimble 4000SSE GPS receiver and an
Applanix inertial position and orientation system. Aerial photography will be obtained at
an altitude of approximately 3,600' AMT (above mean terrain) for digital mapping. The
scale of photography will be approximately 1; 7.200.

.1Jl Ground Cootrql

Rodriguez & Huggins, Inc shall provide ground control information required for the
preparation of the proposed orthophotos. It appears that nine (9) control points win be
required in addition to the airborne GPS and inertial positioning information that will be
captured during the photo mission. All of these points are located in public access areas.

For additional control, ADS will use the AiIbome GPS (ABGPS) and rnertiaI Measuring
Unit (IMU) information being collected during the photo mission. ADS will occupy GPS
receivcns on the project site during the pholo mission to create an accurate baseline for
their c.uculations. 'me il\ertial position infonnation, which calculates the orientation of
the aerial mapping camera at the instant of exposure. combined with the camerd. locaLion
(XYZ) determined with our airborne GPS technology, will provide information required
for assisting in the analytical acrotriangulation process.

AE'llAl OAf A SlIf"lCE, lNC.

-age 4/1
