Measurements will be
made on Zeiss P-3 Planicomp analytical stcrcoplotters with di&ital superimposition and
VI Imaging softcopy workstations running Photo.:r software.

Several computer programs will be run to perform data analysis and data refmement tasks
prior to obtaining final results. These computer programs allow us to detect, isolate, and
evaluate the contribution of all measurements to the final results.

Following dat.a analysis and refinement, ADS will perform a simultaneous least square
block adjustment of all measurement.s to obtain the final results. lhe block adjustment
combines the mathematical constraints of the colinearity equations with' rigorous
statistical analysis to ensure accurate results.

4.0 Distit.1 Terrain Mode) (DTMl DeveJc.JDment

All digital teTrcrin model (DTM) files will be developed LL<ung Zeiss P-3 Planicomp
analytical stereoplotters and VI Imaging softcopy workstation!;~ OTM will be developed
using the specified breakline random point method. Profile distances will be based on the
elevation differential and complexity of terrain. Data points along the profIles are
collected as the stereoplottcr operator maintains a consistcntreference to the ground
surface. Ibc points arc collected as the delta elevation changes by a pre-specified amount,
usually equivalent to the particular mapping :>>eale, or at a disr.anee equal to a pre-
detennined grid spacing.

DTM data will be collected in a manner that will accurately depict the terrain and will
meet or exceed specified accuracy requirements for maps with a 2' contour intervals.
DTM data wi]) be provided in GeoPak format compatible with Rodriguez & Huggins,
Inc. ' s computer software. All files will be labeled an9 delivered on specified medium.

5.0 D~tal OrthoQhoto Den)opmcnt

The [ollowing process will be ulSed to produce digital onhophotos for the specified area:

1 . f)japositives are produced on high resolution transpaIalt film under "clean
darkroom" conditions.

2. After quality
is ascertained, ADS will complete the following steps using a rigorous
"pixel-by-pixel" computation method.

AERIAL DATA SERVICE, IN<:.
