<br />the Engineer will meet with City representatives at mutually convenient times to assemble <br />this data and information. <br /> <br />1.2 TASK 1 -INTERIM AND FINAL PLANS <br /> <br />The Engineer will: <br /> <br />Survey <br /> <br />1.2.1 Provide for field surveys and perform related office computations and drafting for <br />the purpose of collecting information required for design. Such survey work will include <br />horizontal and vertical control adequately documented for the final plans. Horizontal <br />control will be on the Texas State Plane Grid Coordinate System (NAD83). The vertical <br />control will be based on the U.S. Geological Survey ("USGS") datum and Bench Marks will <br />be established not more that 1000 feet apart at an accuracy of 0.01 feet. Visible <br />topographic features will be tied to the Project center lines and shall include existing <br />property or lease lines, property of lease corners, utilities and appurtenances, roadways, <br />structures, railroad structures, trees over 6 inches in diameter, and other topographic <br />features within the limits of construction and 25 feet beyond. <br /> <br />1.2.2 Prepare, if necessary, easements for the Project. <br /> <br />Preliminary Engineering <br /> <br />1.2.3 Review the existing records of the City concerning the existing water lines and <br />review existing plans, maps, records, data and other available information as necessary. <br /> <br />1.2.4 Make three site visits, to perform site analysis and to determine site constraints, <br />permit requirements, and identify the limits of right-of-way at each location. The Engineer <br />will also conduct a meeting with the City during two of the above site visits. <br /> <br />1.2.5 Contact other utility and communications providers, to include telephone, gas, <br />electric and fiber optic companies and request record drawings of their facilities. <br /> <br />1.2.6 Review record drawings prepared by facility owners and request that the owners <br />field locate and mark utilities prior to soil borings and actual construction. The Engineer <br />is not responsible for field verification. <br /> <br />1.2.7 Produce 35% complete design plans of the Project for review by the City. <br /> <br />1.2.8 Prepare preliminary standard and technical specifications to be reviewed by the City. <br /> <br />Engineering Design and Final Plan Production <br /> <br />1.2.9 Prepare, for approval by the City, final design and construction documents for the <br /> <br />2 <br />
