<br />219. <br /> <br />~ <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS, County of Hays <br /> <br />This Agreement is entered into by and between San Marcos Consolidated Independent School <br />District, Southwest Texas State University, the City of San Marcos, The City of San Marcos <br />Public Library, Central Texas Medical Center, Community Action Inc., City of Martindale, City <br />of San Marcos Housing Authority, San Marcos Youth Services Bureau, Willie Mae Mitchell <br />Youth Opportunity Center, San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, Redwood Mission Baptist <br />Church, and St. John's Church Even Start Program, hereinafter referred to as San Marcos <br />CommunityNet under the authority of the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 791 of the Texas <br />Government Code, as amended. <br /> <br />WITNESSETH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District, Southwest Texas State <br />University, the City of San Marcos, The City of San Marcos Public Library, Central Texas <br />Medical Center, Community Action Inc., City of Martindale, City of San Marcos Housing <br />Authority, San Marcos Youth Services Bureau, Willie Mae Mitchell Youth Opportunity Center, <br />San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, Redwood Mission Baptist Church, and St. John's <br />Church Even Start Program wish to file a community networking grant application with the <br />Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund Board ("TIF"), State of Texas, for funding in the <br />amount of $498,000.00 for San Marcos CommunityNet. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, members of the San Marcos CommunityNet have agreed to contribute the total of <br />$65,432.00 in matching funds/in-kind contributions if the said application is approved; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the source of funds would not normally be used for this purpose; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the members of the San Marcos CommunityNet believe it to be in their best <br />interests to join in the application to develop a project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the members of the San Marcos CommunityNet agree to each accept the <br />responsibility to adhere to all pertinent federal, state, and local laws and TIF Board regulations; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this agreement certifies that the objectives of the grant application submitted to the <br />Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund Board have been reviewed and that it is mutually <br />agreed to cooperate to whatever extent is necessary in carrying out the work plan described in the <br />application; and <br /> <br />Interlocal Agreement for San Marcos CommunityNet <br /> <br />Page I of5 <br />
