Attachment A, Scope of Services City of San Marcos, Texas SSES Basin 10 Version 1.0 PROJECT WORK PLAN This project is a comprehensive collection system assessment of portions of Basin 10 serving the City of San Marcos, Texas. The goals of the project are to identify system deficiencies and to develop a set of solutions that will eliminate recurring sanitary sewer overflows in the aforementioned areas. The goals of the project shall be accomplished through the performance of various tasks listed below: Task 1 — Mobilization This task provides for the deployment of equipment and personnel to the project area and development of formal communication channels and data security protocols. Under this task, ENGINEER will: • Attend any scheduled Project Kickoff Meetings • Develop and organize field task efforts • Develop project status reporting formats • Develop formal communication channels • Develop field task maps and data collection formats • Develop format for preparing and submitting invoices • Develop channels for communication of City Action Items • Prepare and submit a plan for security of project documents Assumptions: None. Required from Others: None Deliverables: Attendance of the appropriate personnel at the Project Kickoff Meeting and development of the items listed above for ENGINEER interface with the City of San Marcos. Task 2 — Above Ground Physical Inspection This task will be conducted to locate system assets for incorporation into the updated maps and note evidence of potential problems with the sewer system. Limited smoke testing and electronic line locating systems may be employed to locate manholes or trace out sewer trunk mains and interceptors. The following will be accomplished during this task: • Investigate the study areas for the purpose of documenting all system assets not shown on the current system maps • Evidence of sinkholes • Evidence of line breaks • Provide listing of system assets that are shown on the existing system maps, but not located in the field • Provide listing of system assets located by field crews but not shown on the existing system maps City of San Marcos, Texas Portions of Basins 10 Assessment Page 1 Project Work Plan 11/8/2011
