City of $all Nldreos Building any eaur Downtown flair <br />solutions to these issues that eliminate specific on -site requirements that lower the density of produce <br />less than optimal design. <br />Fee -in -lieu programs: Adopt downtown area -wide solutions to on -site requirements funded in part by <br />development fees. <br />American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Federal Transportation Grants: Apply for the next round of <br />funding to finance context sensitive street improvements including returning to two way traffic, <br />providing for multi -modal transportation, and possibly "green street" infrastructure. <br />American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Energy Grants: San Marcos is already establishing itself as a <br />center for energy technology. Funding is available both for renewable source electricity generation as <br />well as energy efficiency.
