Receive a report from U.S. Post Office representative, Sandi Rybicki, and hold <br />discussion and provide direction to Staff. <br />Sandi Rybicki, Real Estate agent on behalf of the U.S. Post Office gave a brief update on the <br />possible consolidation of post offices in San Marcos. <br />Direction to staff. City Manager shall work asset manager to discuss possibilities for future <br />development. <br />5. Invocation <br />Pastor Lin Penland with Holland St. Church of Christ provided the invocation. <br />6. Pledtes Of Allegiance - United States And Texas <br />Sergio Santoy, a 5`h grade student from Hernandez Elementary, led the assembly in the Pledge of <br />Allegiance and the Texas Pledge. <br />7.30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Don Eyssen, 625 E. Hwy 80 #220, spoke against the proposed Casey Development project. <br />Lisa Prewitt, 619 Maury St., Commented that growth will happen but everyone must work <br />together. Ms. Prewitt stated there are neighborhoods that need to be protected and traffic will <br />become a larger issue. She feels more time is needed to look at the Sessom Street project. <br />Carlos Cedillo, 1200 MLK Dr., spoke against the Sessom Street project and urged council to <br />protect the natural beauty of this piece of land. <br />Lee Ash - Cantu, 7107 Maverick Ct., (TSU Alumni /Sacred Friends Alliance Representative) <br />spoke against the Casey Development and for the protection of the environment and river. <br />Sally Pledger, 105 Canyon Rd., Spoke against the Sessom and Hillside Ranch development. She <br />commented on traffic hazards. <br />Jeff Lowe, 1255 N. LBJ, Spoke against the North Campus project. There is vast density and <br />additional silt would be deposited into the River. Mr. Lowe also spoke against the Hillside Ranch <br />Development. <br />Carter Morris, 16 Greenpointe, (Casey Development Consultant) is attempting to set a precedent <br />by getting citizens notified and participating in the process. This development is well above code <br />in environmental measures and will create retail jobs and $700,000 per year in ad valorem taxes. <br />Ashley Wright, 1008 Faris, Apt, B, Spoke against the Casey Development and informed council <br />the environment is what keeps her in San Marcos. <br />
