Installation of the upgraded system will commence after minimum recommended hardware <br />infrastructure is installed at City of San Marcos site. <br /> <br />D. Remote System Acceptance of upgraded MAXIMO 5.2 instance - This phase enables City of San <br />Marcos an opportunity to evaluate their upgraded system prior to the new MAXIMO software being <br />installed at City of San Marcos site. During acceptance, the new MAXIMO software will be hosted at the <br />Upgrade Factory for a period of 20 business days <br /> <br />A secure Internet connection to the Upgrade Factory site will allow City of San Marcos to perform <br />remote testing of all elements of the system, including screens, reports, and all applications <br /> <br />In order to maximize the efficiency of City of San Marcos time during this phase, we strongly <br />recommend that City of San Marcos complete MAXIMO 5.2 end user training prior to beginning any <br />testing. End user training will ensure City of San Marcos testing is productive and comprehensive. <br />Additional information regarding training can be found at: <br />http://www.mro.com!corporate/mroservices/traininglmaximo- 51 course-schedule. php or by <br />speaking to your Business Solution Manager. <br /> <br />Acceptance testing signoff will indicate City of San Marcos acceptance of their upgraded system. <br /> <br />E. Upgrade Factory On-site Installation - The system that City of San Marcos has tested and approved <br />using remote access to the Upgrade Factory will be installed at City of San Marcos site All client <br />specific files that have been developed at the Upgrade Factory will be installed on the appropriate <br />server(s) These files include modified JSP files for any reconfigured screens, both source and compiled <br />report files for all new or modified reports, the City of San Marcos specific configuration of the database <br />including user and security configuration, value lists, data type and/or length changes, etc <br /> <br />Please review Customer Responsibilities and MRO deliverables for this phase in the Upgrade Factory <br />On-site Installation file found in section 1.2, reference documents. <br /> <br />As part of the knowledge transfer, this phase will include a review of new or modified client specific files <br />provided by the MRO Upgrade Factory as well as new areas of the system. This checklist is found in <br />Appendix D of this document. <br /> <br />F. System Confirmation and Testing - Operational status of the system will be confirmed prior to final <br />database cutover The operation of the on-site system will be compared to the system used by City of <br />San Marcos for remote acceptance testing to ensure it is fully functional. This will include all MAXIMO <br />application elements, all standard and custom reports and the interface with other applications as <br />needed <br /> <br />G. Production Database Cutover - A snapshot of the production database will be taken immediately after <br />the shutdown of the existing system The on-site MRO consultant will send the data to the Upgrade <br />Factory where it will be converted into version 5.2 format. The converted database will be sent back to <br />the on-site consultant and it will be imported into the development database and tested on the MAXIMO <br />5.2 application by City of San Marcos upon successful completion of testing, the data will be imported <br />into the production database and retested by the client's personnel. <br /> <br />H. Completion of On-Site Implementation Checklist - All actions performed by the on-site MRO <br />consultant will be documented with City of San Marcos signoff as necessary along the way. <br /> <br />1.1.3 Oeliverables <br />The following areas of functionality will be upgraded according to estimates below' <br /> <br />6 <br />
