<br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Df San Marcos <br />Mr. Rodney Cobb <br /> <br />January 10, 2006 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br />design of remedial repairs has not been initiated, the cost provided in the following section for <br />these services is a gross estimate for budgetary purposes. <br /> <br />Cost Estimate <br /> <br />Based on the scope of work outlined above and the attached Fee Schedules G-3461 <br />(Geotechnical Services) and CMT-3461 (Construction Materials Testing Services), our fee <br />summary and budget estimate is presented below: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Item Cost <br />Mobilization of Drilling Equipment $500.00 <br />Field Operations $6,000.00 <br />Laboratory Testing $3,500.00 <br />Engineering and Technical Services $15,000.00 <br />Construction Materials Testing $10,000.00 <br />Total Cost $35,000.00 <br /> <br />Special Conditions and Assumptions <br /> <br />Several assumptions and site conditions have been made in developing the fee for our <br />services and, if not valid, will constitute a change in scope requiring an adjustment to the project <br />cost. The assumptions are listed below. <br /> <br />1. Only one mobilization/demobilization of field exploration equipment is required; <br /> <br />2. Access, right-of-entry, and any permits required for site access will be obtained by the <br />Client prior to our field crew arrival; <br /> <br />3. All boring locations will be accessible to our truck-mounted drilling and support <br />equipment without grading and/or clearing; <br /> <br />4. All underground utilities will be clearly marked by Client prior to field crew arrival; <br /> <br />5. Soil cuttings and drilling mud can be disposed of on site; <br /> <br />6. Environmental assessment, evaluation, and/or analyses are outside the scope of this <br />study; <br /> <br />7. Borings will not be drilled in the dam or river channel.
