The Council agreed by consensus to not <br />do anything at this time. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the City Council's Report. 1) Mr. Taylor <br />stated he attended the 100th Anniversary of the Eastern Star. He stated <br />the ceremony was very moving and interesting. 2) Mr. Thomaides thanked <br />everyone who participated in the success of Sight and Sounds. 3) Mr. <br />Diaz stated he read a Proclamation for the Grand Opening of Starbucks. <br />4) Mayor Narvaiz stated she attended National League of Cities. She <br />stated she will provide a written report for the Council and also place <br />it on the website. She stated she would like for the Council to <br />consider holding a citizen summit prior to the visioning workshop. 5) <br />Mayor Narvaiz stated Dianne Wassenich will be hosting the second Mayor's <br />Walk on Saturday, December 11, 2004. She stated anyone who is <br />interested in walking should meet at the Holland Street Church of Christ <br />parking lot at North LBJ and Holland. 6) Mr. O'Leary invited the <br />, <br />Council to the City Employee Christmas Party on Saturday, December 11, <br />2004, at the Activity Center. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government <br />Code, Section 551.074, to discuss evaluation of public officers (City I <br />Manager, City Attorney); and duties of a public officer (City Manager) ; <br />and Section 551.087, to discuss commercial or financial information the <br />City has received from a business prospect that the City seeks to have <br />locate, stay or expand in or near the City and with which the City is <br />conducting economic development negotiations, or to deliberate the offer <br />of a financial or other incentive to such a business prospect (hotel and <br />conference center project; retail furniture/office equipment supplier; <br />prospect reports - Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Area Chamber of <br />Commerce) . Mr. Thomaides moved the Council adjourn into Executive <br />Session at 9:15 p.m. and Mr. Taylor seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved the Council reconvene at 12:55 a.m. and Mr. <br />Thomaides seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration action or direction to Staff <br />on matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated Council <br />received reports from the Greater Chamber of Commerce and Hispanic <br />Chamber of Commerce and potential economic development prospects. He <br />stated Council gave direction regarding prospects and the hotel <br />conference center. He also stated the Council discussed the duties and I <br />the evaluation of the City Manager. He stated the evaluation of the <br />City Attorney will be rescheduled to next the next Regular Meeting on <br />December 13, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. <br />
