ATTACHMENT A <br />PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project includes the replacement of approximately 1,550 linear feet of 8 -inch <br />sanitary sewer line along Moore Street from Lindsey Street to W. Harvey Street, approximately 2,340 linear feet <br />of 6 -inch and 750 linear feet of 8 -inch sanitary sewer line along Nance and North Street from W. Woods Street to <br />W. Martin Luther King Dr., and approximately 400 linear feet of 8 -inch sanitary sewer line along Mary Street <br />from Lindsey Street to Burleson Street in San Marcos, Texas. The project will also include coordination with <br />Brown and Gay Engineers for the utility conflicts at the intersection of Lindsay Street and North Street. This <br />Scope of Services outlines the proposed civil engineering services that will be provided in connection with <br />design of these improvements. <br />SUBCONSULTANTS: <br />A. Ford Engineering Inc. Contact: Rex Hackett, R.P.L.S. <br />PROJECT ASSUMPTIONS: <br />A. There will be one set of plans and specifications for the entire project, with a single bid and construction <br />phase. <br />B. Traffic Control Plan will be provided by the Contractor. <br />C. The OWNER will provide FNI with the City standard Contract Documents (Division 0). <br />D. FNI will reference the City of Austin standard specifications in addition to COSM Div 1 Specifications <br />and supplement those specifications with FNI standard specifications as required. <br />E. The standard construction details will be available on the OWNER's website in CAD format. FNI will <br />supplement those details with FNI standard details as required. <br />BASIC SERVICES: FNI shall render the following professional services in connection with the development of <br />the Project: <br />A. PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION AND ANALYSIS PHASE /30% Schematic Design <br />Upon execution of this AGREEMENT, FNI shall: <br />Survey: Survey will be initiated at the start of preliminary design. FNI will retain a survey firm <br />as a subconsultant to perform the following tasks. If project limits change, the scope will be <br />amended. <br />a) Establish vertical and horizontal controls for the project. <br />b) Survey the project streets indicated above from apparent right -of -way to apparent right -of <br />way, indicating right -of -way lines, property lines, fences, pavement, signs, utility markers, <br />visible utilities, manhole flow lines, etc. <br />c) Surveyor will contact utility companies to locate and mark utilities which conflict with the <br />proposed project. <br />2. Meetings: <br />a) Project Kickoff Meeting: (1) to review the scope of services, (2) to verify OWNER's <br />requirements for the Project, and (3) to review available data. Advise OWNER as to the <br />necessity of OWNER's providing or obtaining data or services from others, and assist OWNER <br />in connection with any such services. Prepare meeting agenda and minutes. <br />b) Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) Workshop: Meeting to discuss the results and <br />recommendations within the PER. Prepare meeting agenda and minutes. <br />c) Monthly Progress Meeting: (1) additional meeting to discuss the project progress. <br />3. Data Collection: <br />
