Obtain and review flow date from Texas State University.
b) Construct a Sub -basin Model: Construct a hydraulic model to include existing wastewater lines
within the sub -basin of the proposed replacement projects. FNI will utilize the OWNER's GIS
to build the geometry and assign attribute data. Flows will be allocated to the model based on
existing and projected flow data provided by the OWNER.
c) Perform Hydraulic Analysis: Evaluate the sub -basin under existing and future flow conditions to
determine appropriate sizing of replacement lines. Downstream impacts to the wastewater
system will be identified.
d) Review storm water design by Brown and GaEngineers: Coordinate with Brown and Gay to
review storm water plans.
5. Develop Preliminary Engineering Report (PER): Prepare a Preliminary Engineering Report that
includes:
a) Determine project permitting and design requirements.
b) An analysis of replacement methods including pipe bursting and open cut, and the recommended
pipe sizes for each segment to be replaced based on the hydraulic model.
c) Determine alignments including possible utility conflicts and easement acquisition.
d) Schematic design of project using available aerial photography.
e) Proposed construction phasing and sequencing for the project.
f) Documentation of the wastewater model construction and hydraulic analysis.
g) Preliminary opinion of probable construction cost (OPCC).
FNI will provide a "Draft" engineering report for the OWNER to review.
