Jaimy Breihan, 134 E Hillcrest, spoke against the Casey Development project and urged Council <br />not to approve it. <br />Dianne Wassenich, 11 Tanglewood, representing the SMRF, stated that Lauren Ross was hired <br />to do analysis for the SMRF so that Council could understand what the impact would be. There <br />are details that are not worked out, and if they are not worked out when you define what a PDD <br />is then you will not get what you want out of a project. She urged that the Casey Development <br />look at other sites. <br />Camille Phillips, Franklin Dr, spoke on two things, first, a program at First Lutheran Church that <br />teaches folks over 60 how to stay on their feet and not fall. Second, she asked Council not to <br />approve the Casey Development project. <br />Kenneth Dees, 1412 Alamo St, spoke against the Casey Development project and stated that this <br />project would benefit the City somewhere else, but not there. <br />Don Eyssen, 925 E. Hwy, appreciates the Council postponing item #22. He spoke against the <br />Casey Development Project and stated that he felt the project was being rushed. <br />David Wendel, 118 E. Holland, thanked City Council for postponing Item #22 and the Planning <br />and Zoning Commissioners that voted no on the project. <br />Jan Rudnicki, 123 Ridgeway Dr, spoke about the issue of traffic regarding the Casey <br />Development, and distributed a map to Council regarding multifamily abutting single family and <br />the traffic impacts. <br />Patrick Montgomery, 513 Centre St, encouraged Council to look at the large real estate <br />development deals that have occurred over the last 2 years. The SM Mercury News reports the <br />new Census dipped yet the University has posted increased enrollment. The rental market is <br />hyper inflated here in San Marcos. He encouraged Council to find ways to protect the greenness <br />of SM, but not saying that development shouldn't happen, but to protect the support the town. <br />Lee A Cantu, 7107 Maverick Ct Buda, TX, when she heard about the Casey Development she <br />had to respond. She provided Maps for the Council that represents the Sessom creek watershed, <br />Sessom creek path, Casey development and the critical habitat in the area. The second map was <br />the TX drought monitor. The runoff from this development will run down into the critical <br />habitat. She requested that Council please not let this happen to the SM River. <br />Rachel Betts, 826 Waco St, thanked Council for listening to everyone. She asked for positive <br />consideration on Item #17, and to please not approve the Casey development project. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />9.
