25. Consider approval of Resolution 2011 -161R approving the purchase of a 2012 Spartan <br />Fire Engine for $626,739.00 from Metro Fire Apparatus Specialists, Inc., through the <br />Houston - Galveston Area Council of Governments Cooperative Purchasing Program; <br />authorizing the City Manager to execute the appropriate purchasing documents on behalf <br />of the City and declaring an effective date. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion from Council Member Thomason and a second by Council Member <br />Porterfield, the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed to approve Resolution 2011 -161R, as <br />previously captioned. The motion carried. <br />26. Receive a Staff report regarding the Planning and Zoning Commission and City <br />Council Joint Workshop on November 16, 2011, and provide direction to Staff. <br />John Foreman provided a report to Council with a memo summarizing the workshop. There will <br />be a continued pursuit to access SH 130. <br />27. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. This is an opportunity for the Press <br />and Public to ask questions related to items on this agenda. <br />28. Adiournment. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Terry and a second by Council Member <br />Becak, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adjourn the regular meeting <br />of the San Marcos City Council at 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011.
