<br />RFP 24-057 <br /> <br />587 -0702 <br /> <br />SECTION.15892 <br /> <br />FIBERGLASS DUCTWORK <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 SCOPE <br /> <br />A. Extent of fiberglass ductwork to be installed under this Section is limited to the <br />ductwork necessary to link all of the PROPONENT's odor control system <br />components, including fans and separate treatment cells. The CITY will install the <br />ductwork that collects the foul air from the various WWTP units. <br /> <br />B. Duct will be furnished and installed complete with all fittings, transitions, jointing <br />materials, supports, anchors, expansion joints, and other necessary appurtenances. <br />Duct manufacturer will furnish all pipe supports, anchors and guides, with the <br />exception of the concrete base. <br /> <br />C. Duct and appurtenances will be continuously exposed to a humid environment <br />containing hydrogen sulfide. Duct and appurtenances will be used in interior and <br />exterior above grade and below grade locations. <br /> <br />1.02 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> <br />A. PROPONENT will provide for the services of a trained factory representative to <br />oversee and coordinate duct installation. This factory representative will make a <br />minimum of one trip to the project site, and will spend a minimum of one a-hour <br />day at the project site, not including travel time. The factory representative will <br />have at least 5 years of experience with installation of fiberglass duct systems <br />similar to those required for this project. The factory representative will certify that <br />the ductwork, supports, joints, and fittings have been installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's instructions, specifications, and other applicable standards. <br /> <br />B. Minimum Duct Wall Stiffness: The minimum duct wall stiffness, at 5 percent <br />deflection, determined in accordance with ASTM 02412 and Section 3 of <br />AWWA C950, will not be less than the following: <br /> <br />15892-1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />
