<br />RFP 24-057 <br /> <br />587 -0702 <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />Submit to the CITY or CITY's representative in writing details of any necessary, <br />proposed departures from these Specications, and the reasons therefor. Submit such <br />request as soon as practicable, and within ten (10) days after award of the Contrad. <br />Make no such departures without written approval of the CITY or CITY's <br />representative. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />D. Dimensions on electrical drawings will be verified with structural, architectural, and <br />mechanical drawings. <br /> <br />E. Where the PROPONENT is submitting a packaged system, it will meet the <br />requirements of electrical specifications. This includes field cables, conduits, junction <br />boxes, circuit breakers, combination starters, pushbuttons, pilot lights, and motors. <br />Deviations will not be accepted, unless approved. Control centers and special control <br />cabinets wired to terminal blocks will include the manufacturer's standard quality, <br />unless specifically mentioned to the contrary in the specifications. <br /> <br />F. Maintain continuity of electric service to functioning portions of the process or buildings <br />during hours they are normally in use. Temporary outages will be permitted during <br />cutover work at such times and places as can be prearranged with the CITY or CITY'S <br />representative. Such outages will be kept to a minimum number and minimum length <br />of time. Make no outages without prior written authorization of the CITY or CITY'S <br />representative. Include costs for any temporary wiring and overtime work required in <br />the contract price. Remove temporary wiring at the completion of the work. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />A. Condition: Materials and equipment provided under these specifications must be new <br />products of manufacturers regularly engaged in production of such equipment. <br />Provide the manufacturer's latest standard design for the type of equipment required. <br /> <br />B. NEC and UL: Products must conform to requirements of the National Electrical Code. <br />Where Underwriters' laboratories have set standards, listed products, and issued <br />labels, products used must be listed and labeled by UL. <br /> <br />C. Space Limitations: Equipment selected must conform to the building features and <br />must be coordinated with them. Do not provide equipment which will not suit <br />arrangement and space limitations. <br /> <br />D. Factory Finish: Equipment must be delivered with a hard surface, factory-applied finish <br />so that no additional field painting is required. <br /> <br />E. Field Installation: All field installed equipment, conduit, etc., will require Type 316 <br />stainless steel nuts, bolts, washers, and rigid aluminum or Type 316 stainless steel <br />metal framing and supports, and other items as indicated on the Plans. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />16010-5 <br />
