Regular Meeting December 13, 2004 Page 9 thanked CONA for inviting her to their Christmas Party. 8) Mayor Narvaiz I thanked Dianne Wassenich for hosting the second Mayor's Walk. 9) Mayor Narvaiz reminded the citizens the City Council Meetings would be held on the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 6:00 p.m. Mayor Narvaiz introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government Code, Sections 551.074, to discuss evaluation of public officers (City Attorney, City Clerk, Municipal Court Judge) and duties of a public officer (City Manager) j and Section 551.087, to discuss commercial or financial information the City has received from a business prospect that the City seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near the City and with which the City is conducting economic development negotiations, or to deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive to such a business prospect (hotel and conference center projectj Highway 123/IH35 areaj Wonder World Drive areaj McCarty Road/IH35 South area). Mr. Guerrero moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 9:17 p.m. and Mr. Taylor seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Guerrero moved the Council reconvene at 11:04 p.m. and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration action or direction to Staff on I matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated Council provided direction regarding commercial and financial information on economic development prospects. Mayor NarvalZ stated Council provided direction regarding the duties of the City Manager. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval to set salaries for Council appointees for FY2004-2005. Mr. Thomaides moved to set salary of the City Manager at $127,217.00 and Mr. Diaz seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Thomaides moved to set the salary of the City Attorney at $85,372.00 and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Diaz, Guerrero, Narvaiz, Thomaides, Bose and Taylor. NAY: Mihalkanin. ABSTAIN: None. Mr. Thomaides moved to set the salary of the City Clerk at $57,238.00 and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Thomaides moved to set the salary of the Municipal Court Judge at $70,512.00 and Mr. IGuerrero seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Diaz, Guerrero, Mihalkanin and Taylor.
