Mayor Narvaiz called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Boy Scout Troop 116 lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Citizen Comment Period. 1) Camille Phillips stated she wished to speak regarding the Hotel/Convention Center. She stated she feels the citizens of San Marcos should be able to vote on the Hotel/Conference Center. She also stated Vote San Marcos has collected many signatures on their petition. 2) Pam Couch stated she wished to speak regarding the Hotel/Convention Center. She stated she is a business owner and feels the Hotel/Convention Center is about future growth. She stated IShe feels the Council was voted into Office to make decision for the community and should make the decision for the Hotel/Convention Center. * Mark Taylor was not present at this meeting.
