Richard Mendoza stated <br />City had an additional 100 more drop-offs than last year. <br />then voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />Mr. Thomaides <br />City had more <br />this year the <br />The Council <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration Item 34, removed from the <br />consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AMENDED AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />SAN MARCOS HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR A MINORITY ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government <br />Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice regarding <br />pending litigation, contemplated litigation, a settlement offer, or a <br />matter involving attorney-client privilege (Hispanic Chamber of Commerce <br />economic and tourism development contracts). Mr. Mihalkanin moved the <br />Council adjourn into Executive Session at 10:14 p.m. and Mr. Guerrero <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved the Council reconvene at 10:40 p.m. and Mr. Guerrero <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved for adoption of the Resolution, with amendments <br />provided by Mr. Mark Taylor in Memo dated November 8, 2004, and Mr. <br />Guerrero seconded the motion. Mr. Thomaides inquired whether the Hispanic <br />Chamber can provide an audit by January 31, 2005. Richard Garza, Hispanic <br />Chamber President, stated he has spoken to several audit firms, which <br />stated they could complete an audit by January 31, 2005. Mr. Thomaides <br />Imoved to amend 8. Miscellaneous to read ...no later than February 15, 2005, <br />and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion.
