<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />93. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004- 192 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TER1\1S AND <br />CONDITIONS OF AN AMENDED AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />SAN MARCOS HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR A <br />MINORITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT, AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council in a resolution adopted on September 27,2004, approved a contract with <br />the San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to provide economic development services during <br />the City's 2004-2005 fiscal year, in order to promote orderly and responsible economic development <br />for the San Marcos geographic area. <br /> <br />2. The City Council wishes to approve an amended contract with the San Marcos Hispanic <br />Chamber of Commerce in place of the contract approved by the Council on September 27,2004. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The resolution adopted by the City Council on September 27,2004, approving a <br />contract with the San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the administration of hotel <br />occupancy tax funds is repealed and rescinded. <br /> <br />PART 2. Th(~ attached agreement between the City of San Marcos and the San Marcos <br />Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for a minority economic development program for fiscal year 2004- <br />2005 is approved. <br /> <br />PART 3. The City Manager of the City of San Marcos, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to <br />execute the Agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 4.
