Place at least one ad in a major publication advertising the community of San Marcos <br />as a development choice. <br /> <br />Goal 3: Facilitate government agency support for primary employers <br /> <br />1. Attend and participate in CIty staff development process committee meetings. <br />2. Update the City Council quarterly on potentIal new developments. <br />3. Develop a packet of incentives available for minority-owned businesses including <br />Local, State and Federal programs. <br />4. Work with State and Federal agencies to attract new and develop current business <br />opportunities in the Hispanic community. <br />5. Maintain a maximum personnel expense of 40% of city- provided funds for <br />Economic Development program. <br /> <br />In this Agreement, "primary employers" are those companies whose goods, services and shipments <br />are ultimately used in statewide, national or international markets. <br />B. The Chamber shall provide necessary skilled and knowledgeable personnel, equipment <br />and supplies for the administration and operation of its minority economic development program, in <br />accordance with the budget approved by the City. <br />C. The Chamber shall provide office facilities and utilities at the San Marcos Hispanic <br />Chamber of Commerce office sufficient to carry out its economic development program, in <br />accordance with the budget approved by the City. <br />D. The Chamber shall authorize and make expenditures of funds under this Agreement ("ED <br />Funds") in conformity with the Minority Economic Development Budget approved by the City <br />Council and attached to this Agreement as Exhibit A. All expenditures of ED Funds shall be subject <br />to monitoring by the City's Minority Economic and Tourism Development Board (the "Board") <br />under Section 2.C. below. <br /> <br />E. The Chamber shall provide a written report to the City Council and the Board quarterly on <br />all issues related to economic development, with a copy to the City Manager. The report shall <br />describe Chamber activity related to economic development in the preceding quarter, and shall <br />include the following information: <br />1. List of new prospect contacts. <br />2. List of pending prospects with status of each. <br />3. Summary description of staff activity. <br />4 Monthly and year-to-date revenues and expenditures. <br /> <br />2 <br />
