Mayor Narvaiz introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government Code, Section 551.087, to discuss commercial or financial information the City has received from a business prospect that the City seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near the City and with which the City is conducting economic development negotiations, or to deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive to such a business prospect (Hotel and Conference Center Project; Outlet Mall area). Mr. Mihalkanin moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 6:09 p.m. and Mr. Thomaides seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Mihalkanin moved the Council reconvene at 7:47: p.m. and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration action or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated Council discussed an economic development prospect. He stated the Council also provided direction to bring the MOU for the Hotel and Conference Center Project to the Council at the next Regular Meeting scheduled for September 27, 2004, if Mr. Hammons accepts the MOU. He stated the Council also gave Idirection consider the MOU at a different meeting, if Mr. Hammons does not accept the MOU.
