The Chamber shall submit to the City Council a report on or before December 31, 2004, <br />March 31,2005, June 30, 2005 and September 30, 2005, with a copy to the City Manager, describing <br />the activities and expenditures resulting from previously allocated CVB Funds during the preceding <br />three-month period. <br />3. OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER <br />A. Facility Description. The Tourist Information Center (the "Tourist Center") is owned by <br />the City and is located at 617 IH-35 North in San Marcos, Texas. <br />B. Operation of Center. The Chamber agrees to use CVB Funds for the operation and <br />maintenance of the Tourist Center in accordance with the following: <br />I. The Chamber will endeavor to provide paid and volunteer staffing so that the Tourist <br />Center is open to the public during the following times: <br />Monday - Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5 :00 p.m. <br />Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />During these times, the staff will provide assistance to visitors, respond to telephone <br />inquiries, distribute tourism materials and information, maintain records, stock brochure <br />racks and bins, and perform other services and tasks as directed by the Chamber. <br />2. The Chamber shall provide and maintain suitable equipment and materials for effective <br />operation of the Tourist Center, including desks, counters, chairs, brochure racks and bins, <br />computer, copier and telephone equipment, and office supplies. <br />3. The Chamber shall provide routine maintenance of the Tourist Center, including custodial <br />services and minor repairs. If a need arises for maintenance of a non-routine nature (costing <br />$1,000 or more), the Chamber will submit the request to the City, and the City will evaluate <br />and take action to provide the maintenance. The City will provide routine landscape <br />maintenance in the area of the Tourist Center. <br />4. The Chamber shall maintain commercial general liability insurance with respect to its <br />operations and activities at the Tourist Center, and the Chamber shall provide casualty <br />insurance covering the contents of the Tourist Center. The Chamber shall provide certificates <br />to the City verifying these coverages at the City's request. <br />5. The Chamber shall not make any changes of a permanent nature to the Tourist Center <br /> <br />2 <br />
