<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />3. Send out site location proposals and information packets to requesting entities within <br />three working days 90% of the time. <br />4. Meet with San Marcos Area Board of Realtors once per year to discuss development <br />opportunities and obstacles. <br />5. Meet with major property owners at least once per year to discuss development <br />opportunities and obstacles. <br />6. Maintain and regularly update an Economic Development website that provides <br />pertinent economic information for web site users. <br />7. Actively involve the City's Mayor and City Council and City Manager in marketing <br />efforts and communication with prospects. <br />8. Arrange at least four marketing trips to prospective employers with City's Mayor, a <br />member of Council and the City Manager. <br />9. Place at least one ad in a major publication advertising the community of San Marcos <br />as a development choice. <br />10. Maintain accurately the Community Fact book. <br /> <br />Goal 3: Facilitate government agency support for primary employers <br /> <br />I. Attend and participate in city development process committee meetings. <br />2. Update the City Council quarterly on potential new developments. <br />3. Develop a packet of incentives available including Local, State and Federal <br />programs. <br />4. Work with State and Federal agencies such as the Texas Workforce Commission, <br />The Governors Office of Economic Development, and the Small Business <br />Administration, staying abreast of state and federal programs available for economic <br />development. <br />5. Work with City and County government in development areas of Freeport <br />exemptions, Enterprise Projects and other development related zones. <br />6. Maintain a maximum ratio of city funding to other funding sources of 70% for <br />economic development allocations. <br /> <br />In this Agreement, "primary employers" are those companies whose goods, services and shipments <br />are ultimately used in statewide, national or international markets. <br /> <br />B. The EDC and the Chamber shall provide a written report to the City Council quarterly on <br />all issues related to economic development, with a copy to the City Manager. The report shall <br />describe EDC and Chamber activity related to economic development in the preceding quarter, and <br />shall include the following information: <br />1. List of new prospect contacts. <br />2. List of pending prospects with status of each. <br />3. Summary description of staff activity. <br />4.
