<br />134. <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />October 11, 2004 <br /> <br />Page 12 <br /> <br />at 6:00 p.m. 7) Mayor Narvaiz stated the first Fitness Walk with the Mayor I <br />will be held on November 13, 2004 at 7:00 a.m. and will begin at the Fish <br />Hatchery. She also stated if any group or organization wishes to host <br />one of the monthly Fitness Walks, they need to contact the City Clerk's <br />Office. 8) Mayor Narvaiz stated she will be hosting a Breakfast on <br />November 17, 2004 at 8:00 a.m. for representatives from San Marcos Area <br />Churches. 9) Mayor Narvaiz stated a Board Reception will be held in early <br />January. She stated this will be held on a Monday night from 5:30 p.m. to <br />7:30 p.m. She stated this reception will be for presenting outgoing <br />members a Certificate of Appreciation and a Ceremonial Oath for the newly <br />appointed members. The Council asked for the proposed date to be brought <br />to the Council at the next Regular Meeting on October 25, 2004. 10) Mayor <br />Narvaiz reminded the public of the weekly Coffee with the Mayor on <br />Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government <br />Code, Section 551.087, to discuss commercial or financial information the <br />City has received from a business prospect that the City seeks to have <br />locate, stay or expand in or near the City and with which the City is <br />conducting economic development negotiations, or to deliberate the offer <br />of a financial or other incentive to such a business prospect (Hotel and <br />Conference Center Project). Mr. Mihalkanin moved the Council adjourn into <br />Executive Session at 9:21 p.m. and Mr. Diaz seconded the motion, which I <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved the Council reconvene at 9:36 p.m. and Mr. Thomaides <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration action or direction to Staff on <br />matters discussed in Executive Session.
