Public notice will be placed on the <br />Hays County and City of San Marcos websites requesting public <br />input to the 15t annual revision of the Hays County Mitigation Plan. <br /> <br />March 2007 Target date for the 3rd annual evaluation of the Plan. <br /> <br />March 2008 Target date for the 4th annual evaluation of the Plan. <br /> <br />March 2009 Target date for the 5-year annual evaluation of the Plan and initiation <br />of the revision and update effort for the Hays County Mitigation <br />Plan with submittal to TxDEM and FEMA for review and approval. <br /> <br />1.3. Public Meeting <br /> <br />On January 28, 2004 a Public Notice was placed in the San Marcos Daily Record that there <br />would be a Public Meeting to discuss the Mitigation Plan for Hays County and Incorporated <br />Areas. San Antonio St. <br />San Marcos, Texas <br /> <br />Copies of the public notice, the list of Attendees, and public comments are on file in the Hays <br />County OEM Office. <br /> <br />1.4. Mitigation Plan Questionnaire [TxDEM P-40 and P-41] <br /> <br />Utilizing the Hays County website, www.co.havs.tx.us. and the City of San Marcos website <br />www.ci.san-marcos.tx.us.aMitigation Plan Questionnaire, prepared by the Hays County <br />Office of Emergency Management and City of San Marcos Engineering Department, was <br />accessible on line to the approximately 97,589 residents in Hays County including all <br />communities in the County. The questionnaire was initially posted on the web in July 2003 and <br />a copy is included in the Plan as Figure 1. On October 1,2003, the Wimberley View published <br />an article, "Public comment being sought for questionnaire", listing the website link and <br />requesting public input. The questionnaire targeted the 97,589+ residents in Hays County and <br />responses were received electronically or in writing from 75 individuals that represented all <br />communities in Hays County. Questionnaire submittals and written responses are maintained <br />in the Hays County OEM files.
