<br />(8"), beyond tL,' first one hundred feet (100' <br />the City v.'ill p~)~' the cost difference beLvleen <br />the size of the line required and an eight inch <br />(8") line. <br /> <br />4) the extension begins at the termination point <br />of the City's existing system. <br /> <br />5) any valves, fire hydrants or appurtenances needed <br />beyond the first hundred feet (100') are paid <br />for by the developer. <br /> <br />6) the extension is made in a public easement. <br />If easements are not available, it will be the <br />developer's responsibility to acquire them on <br />behalf of the City. <br /> <br />B. For sewer extensions the following requirements shall <br />apply in addition to those requirements of II A. <br /> <br />1) Depth required shall be sufficient to develop <br />the City's system in conformance with the City <br />of San Marcos Master Plan. <br /> <br />2) Any lift station required will be financed as <br />follows: <br /> <br />a) The developer shall pay the total cost for <br />a system suitable to handle the needs of ~he <br />proposed development. <br /> <br />b) Should the City determine that additional <br />capacity is necessary, the City shall pay <br />the difference between the cost to instal~ <br />a system sufficient to meet the needs of <br />the proposed development and the cost of <br />the system required by the City. <br /> <br />3) Manholes, cleanouts and similar appurtenances <br />beyond the first one hundred feet (100') wil: be <br />the responsibility of the developer. <br /> <br />C. Requests for extensions beyond the corporate limits of <br />the Ci ty must be accompaniccJ by a peti tion -for annc~;.:ation <br />if the property is contiguous to the corporate limits of <br />the City. If the property is not contiguous to the corporate <br />limits of the City, the applicant for extension must state <br />he or she will petition for annexation when and if the <br />property becomes contiguous to the corporate limits. In <br />ei ther case, if the reques t is for an ex tens ion ou 1~s ide the <br />corpora te limi ts, the Ci ty Counci 1 \"1 i 11 decide whe l:her <br />the extension will be granted on a case-by-case basis. <br /> <br />D. Extensions of the sewer system will be made only if the <br />customer is purchasing City water. <br /> <br />E. Boring of utility lines will be at the developer's expense. <br />
