<br />of municipal services said area proposed for annexation; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said proposed service plan was made available
<br />for inspection and explained to the inhabitants of the area to
<br />be annexed at said public hearings; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said approximately 135 acres, more or less, are
<br />located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of
<br />San Marcos, Texas, and not within the extraterritorial jurisdiction
<br />of any other city; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said approximately 135 acres, more or less, are
<br />contiguous and adjacent to the current boundaries of the City of
<br />San Marcos, Texas; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That the following described property, approx~
<br />imately 135 acres, more or less, adjoining the existing city
<br />limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, out of the J.M. Veramendi
<br />League No.1 and the J.M. Veramendi League No.2, and being more
<br />particularly described by metes and bounds as follows, to~wit:

<br />BEGINNING at a re-entrant corner of the existing
<br />City Limits, on the West line of River Road (Old
<br />State Highway 80) at its intersection with a line
<br />approximately 300 feet Southeast of the centerline
<br />of Interstate Highway 35, for the North corner of
<br />the tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Southerly direction with the existing
<br />City Limits, the West line of the said River Road
<br />(Old State Highway 80), crossing a County Road,
<br />which is an extension of Hays Street, passing a
<br />South corner of the said existing City Limits
<br />and continuing on to a South corner of the said
<br />River Road (Old State Highway 80), for an East cor-
<br />ner of the tract herein described, same being on
<br />the Northwest line of that 60 acre tract of land
<br />conveyed to Frank Sharp by deed recorded in Volume
<br />138, Page 628, Hays County Deed Records;
<br />
<br />THENCE, leaving the said River Road (Old State
<br />Highway 80), in a Southwesterly direction with the
<br />Northwest line of the said Sharp 60 acre tract,
<br />crossing the San Marcos River and continuing on,
<br />in all, to the East line of that 189 acre tract of
<br />land conveyed to the State of Texas by deed re-
<br />corded in Volume 135, Page 414, Hays County Deed
<br />Records, same being a Southeasterly line of the
<br />existing City Limits as established by the City of
<br />San Marcos by ordinance adopted February 9, 1981,
<br />and recorded in Volume 55, Page 81, of the Minutes
<br />of the Meetings of the City Council of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, and being on the West bank of the said San
<br />Marcos River, for a Southeasterly corner of the
<br />tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, upstream, in a Northerly direction with
<br />the East line of the said State of Texas 189 acre
<br />tract, the West bank of the said San Marcos River
<br />and the said existing City Limits to the most
<br />Northerly Northwest corner of the said State of
<br />Texas 189 acre tract, for a re-entrant corner of the
<br />tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, leaving the said San Marcos River, in a
<br />Southeasterly direction with a Southwest line of
<br />the said State of Texas 189 acre tract, the said
<br />existing City Limits, to a re-entrant corner of
