<br />18 <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> <br />This Agreement made and entered into by the City of San <br /> <br />Marcos, Texas, a municipal corporation located in Hays CountYJ <br /> <br />Texas, existing by and under the laws of the State of Texas, act- <br /> <br />ing through authority conferred on its City Manager, A.C. <br /> <br />Gonzalez, by Resolution duly adopted on May 10, 1982 <br /> <br />hereinafter "City" and Austin Community College, acting through <br /> <br />authority conferred on its <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />duly adopted on <br /> <br />hereinafter <br /> <br />"College" on the following terms and conditions: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />The purpose of this Agreement is to guide and direct a work- <br /> <br />ing relationship between the San Marcos-Hays County Health <br /> <br />Department (hereinafter "Agency") and the College in providing <br /> <br />learning experiences for student nurses. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />For and in consideration of the exchange of benefits between <br /> <br />the parties as hereinafter set out, the said parties do hereby <br /> <br />mutually agree as follows: <br /> <br />A. City, acting through Agency agrees to: <br /> <br />1. Permit the faculty and the students of the <br />College's Nursing Program to utilize the <br />Agency's facilities for clinical nursing <br />experiences. The specific dates and areas <br />selected for clinical nursing experiences <br />will be planned by the nursing faculty of <br />the College and will be coordinated with <br />the Agency's director of Nursing Service <br />and the nursing personnel. <br /> <br />2. Make available certain areas which will <br />provide opportunities for clinical nursing <br />experience or enrichment for nursing <br />students. <br /> <br />3. Provide for orientation of faculty members <br />of the College as to the facilities, <br />philosophies and policies of the Agency. <br /> <br />4. Permit faculty members to provide patient <br />service in the Agency's facilities, as <br />agreed to and required by their teaching <br />function. <br />
