<br />Sec. 10~18. Appointment, qualifications and removal. <br /> <br />The fire marshal shall be appointed by the fire chief. <br />The fire marshal shall be properly qualified for the <br />duties of his office and shall be removed only for cause. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances <br />inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance, be and the <br />same are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause, <br />phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid <br />or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such <br />portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent <br />provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the <br />remaining portions thereof. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an <br />emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions <br />of the chapter requiring that ordinances shall be read at three <br />separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective un- <br />til the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its <br />final passage be suspended, and these provisons are hereby suspended, <br />and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect <br />from and after its adoption and publication in a newspaper of general <br />circulation within the City. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of <br /> <br />June <br /> <br />, 1982. <br /> <br />LCE~ <br /> <br />Emmie Craddock <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />I>}~c:rat~ <br /> <br />Janis K.
