68 ~ ORDINANCE 1982-30 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE GRANT OF AN EASEMENT TO SAN MARCOS TELEPHONE COMPANY, INC. FOR COMMUNICATIONS LINES; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN INSTRUMENT GRANTING SAID EASEMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That that Easement granting to San Marcos Telephone Company, Inc. the right, privilege and authority to construct, reconstruct, operate and maintain its communications lines, together with such underground con- duits, pipes and other fixtures as it may now or hereafter place on the easement premises, a copy of which instrument is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and the same is hereby, approved in all respects. SECTION 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Emmie Craddock, be, and she is hereby, authorized to execute said instrument conveying said easement. SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days follow- ing the date of its final passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in a newspaper of general circula- tion within the City.
