<br /> <br />81. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1982-33 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE AND <br />CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF SAN <br />HARCOS, TEXAS, OF A PART OF LOT NO. FOUR (4) <br />IN BLOCK NO. NINE (9) OF THE D.S. COMBS ADDI- <br />TION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TO THE <br />ANTIOCH CHURCH OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, OF SAN <br />IMARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE <br />A WARRANTY DEED TO THE ANTIOCH CHURCH OF OUR <br />LORD JESUS CHRIST, OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; AND <br />DECLARING AN EHERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for <br />bids for the sale of a part of Lot No. Four (4) in Block No. <br />Nine (9) of the D. S. Combs Addition to the City of San Marcos, <br />in Hays County, Texas, also known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. <br />33A-3, in the San Marcos Record, a local newspaper with a <br />general circulation in the County of Hays, State of Texas, on <br />May 9, 1982, and May 16, 1982; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement a bid was sub- <br />mitted by the Antioch Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, of San <br />Marcos, Texas, for said described property in the amount of One <br />Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00); and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said bid met the minimum disposition price set for <br />said property by the Urban Renewal Board of Commissioners of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas on April 13, 1982; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Board accepted the bid as the highest and best <br />responsible bid for said property on June 1, 1982; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Board recommends the approval of said purchase <br />price and the approval of the terms and conditions for said sale, <br />as contained in the bid document; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN ~ffiRCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the terms and conditions of the sale by <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, of a part of Lot No. Four (4) <br />in Block No. Nine (9) of the D.S. Combs Addition to the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas, Hays County, according to the plat thereof <br />recorded in Vol. 42, page 332, Hays County Deed Records, which <br />said portion of said lot is more accurately described by metes <br />and bounds as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />BEGINNING, at a point on the northeast line of a <br />street called Shady Lane, south 480 I' east 41.67 <br />feet from the south corner of Lot No. Three (3) <br />in Block No. Six (6) of said addition, said point <br />being also north 480 I' west 344 feet from the <br />south corner of Block No. Nine (9) of said addition; <br /> <br />THENCE, south 480 I' east with the northeast line <br />of said Shady Land 115 feet to an iron stake for <br />corner; <br /> <br />THENCE, north 450 east 44.7 feet to iron stake for <br />corner; <br /> <br />THENCE, north 510 59' west 115.88 feet to stake on <br />southeast line of a public street; <br /> <br />THENCE, with the southeast line of said public street <br />south 450 west 36.7 feet to an iron stake, THE PLACE <br />OF BEGINNING. <br /> <br />also known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 33A-3, to the Antioch <br />Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, of San Marcos, Texas, are here- <br />by approved. <br />
