13 RPF:dz:27.06 RESOLUTION 1982-43R RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HAYS CITY OF SAN MARCOS ~ ~ ~ WHEREAS, this City Council deems it advisable to give notice of intention to issue certificates of obligation of said City, as hereinafter provided; and WHEREAS, it is off icially found and determined that a case of emergency or urgent public necessity exists which requires the holding of the meeting at which this Resolution is passed, such emergency or urgent public necessity being that such notice should be given as soon as possible and without delay for necessary and urgently needed public improvements; and that said meeting was open to the public and public notice of the time, place and subject of said meeting was given, all as required by Tex. Rev. Civ. St. Ann., Art. 6252-17, as amended; Now, Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: 1. Attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A" is a form of Notice of Intention to Issue Certificates of Obligation, the form and substance of which are hereby adopted and approved. 2. Said Notice shall be published, in substantially the form attached hereto, in a newspaper, as defined in Chapter 84, Acts of the 43rd Legislature, 1st Called Session, 1933, as amended (Article 28a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes), of general circulation in the area of said City, once a week for two consecutive weeks, the date of the first publication thereof to be at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date tentatively set for passage of the ordinance authorizing the issuance of such certificates.
