Edging Sidewalks and Other Paved Areas-- All
sidewalk-turf edges shall be edged either with
herbicides or machinery, to insure a clean
appearance and shall be maintained level with
the height of the surrounding turf. This stan-
dard will also include all flush-paved areas
such as drives, walkways, and any other con-
creted areas.

D. Edging Headstones-- All headstone areas are
to be trimmed either with herbicides or machinery
to maintain the height of the surrounding turf.

E. Other Edging-- All other turf edges such as those
at shrub beds, flower beds, around "in-lawn" trees,
curb sides, etc., shall be edged either with herbi-
cides or machinery as necessary to maintain the re-
quired clean appearance, even with the fine cut
height.

F. Irrigation-- All turf areas except in the Old
Original and Dixon Additions shall be watered as
neeeded to maintain a uniform growth pattern. Water
shall be applied so that the grass retains a normal
green color. Where possible (over major areas) soil
surface in turf areas shall be permitted to dry out
between waterings. Care must be taken not to over-
water or "waterlog" any area. Trees and other plants
shall be protected from overwatering and run-off
drowning. No irrigation will be required where water
pressure drops below forty (40) psi or where more
than one hundred fifty (150) feet of hose are required.

VIII.
TURF CARE - ROUGH CUT

This work shall include all materials, equipment, supplies
and services necessary to maintain in a safe condition all fringe
or rough areas, approximately ten (10) acres. All rough areas
are to be mowed at a height of five (5) inches and not allowed
to exceed eight (8) inches between mowings. Fences are to be
kept free of trees and brush as needed to prevent damages to
the fences and provide reasonable fire safety.

The Contractor may recommend removal of any shrub he feels
is beyond renovation; but removal shall occur only after City
approval.

IX.

City agrees to provide all water connections and water
necessary for the performance of this contract by Contractor and
to provide for all road maintenance at said Cemetery. Contractor
agrees that any water connections standing above ground that are
destroyed or damaged by the acts of Contractor or his employees
shall be replaced by Contractor at Contractor's expense. City
also agrees to provide electrical connections and pay an amount
equal to the minimum charge of electricity supplied to said
Cemetery.
