<br />-3- <br /> <br />J. Brush-- All brush cut by the Contractor will be <br />piled up until it can be removed by Contractor <br />from the cemetery. This shall be done within <br />two (2) weeks of cutting. <br /> <br />K. Flying Flag-- A United States flag will be raised <br />on the days listed below (weather permitting) : <br /> <br />Presidents' Day <br />Mother's Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Flag Day <br />Father's Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Columbus Day <br />Veterans' Day <br /> <br />L. Recordkeeping-- All daily burial and ownership <br />records are to be maintained by Contractor. Records <br />are to be maintained according to City standards. <br />Employees shall be trained by City within two (2) <br />weeks of contract award. If, after the training <br />period, the City feels that the Contractor's em- <br />ployee is not capable of handling this function, <br />the City has the authority to veto the employee <br />performing the recordkeeping. Contractor shall, <br />in this instance, have the responsibility assigned <br />to another employee. Once a month a list of all <br />burials performed in that month shall be sent to <br />City Hall. Deeds shall be issued by City and <br />maintained at City Hall. City, at any time, may <br />inspect records being maintained; and, if record- <br />keeping is found to be inadequate, this will con- <br />stitute grounds for termination of contract. City <br />will transact all sales and issue deeds. <br /> <br />VII. <br />TURF CARE - FINE CUT <br /> <br />This work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, <br />supplies and services to maintain in superior condition all turf <br />areas, approximately thirty-two (32) acres in scope. These areas <br />shall be maintained with a crisp, clean appearance and as other- <br />wise delineated herein. <br /> <br />All turf areas indicated shall receive no less than the <br />following: <br /> <br />A. Mowing height shall be no less than three (3) <br />inches for all general turf areas covered by <br />these specifications and standards. Mowing <br />height may be no greater than three and one- <br />half (3 1/2) inches. Mower adjustment is to be <br />made and measured on a flat paved surface. Dur- <br />ing the season in which bluebonnets blossom, the <br />flowers shall not be mowed until the seeds have <br />dropped. <br /> <br />B. Use of Herbicides-- If Contractor elects to use <br />herbicides for trim work specified herein, Contractor <br />shall furnish the City a written list of any and <br />all herbicides Contractor plans to use. This shall <br />be provided in the bid information and made a part <br />of this contract award. City shall have authority <br />to veto use of any herbicides City feels may cause <br />damage to the environment. All herbicides will be <br />applied by a licensed applicator only. <br />
